Being a Lifeguard at a Child Care Center is a different job than being a Lifeguard at a public pool. The challenges of discipline, supervision, and safety are heightened. In this course, staff learn the basics of Lifeguard duties as it relates to the supervising children in a child care center. Particular attention is put on prevention, assessing swimmer strengths, pool behavior management, and rescue techniques. This course is in addition to the Pediatric CPR/First Aid Training. It is intended for pools that are 4 feet or less in depth.
